Challenge
The Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Program is a national competency management system for rail workers. The chief aim of competency management is to ensure that appropriately trained personnel are carrying out designated duties on the national rail network, raising both the quality and safety of rail projects.
Metro Trains Australia (MTA) received the contract to provide this service. In developing a solution, MTA needed a solution partner capable of ensuring that applicants applying for the RIW Card are the verified holder of the credentials provided.
Charged with the responsibility of helping to protect and enhance the safety of Australia’s rail networks, Veritas needed to deliver a fast and efficient identity verification service that provides mobility, security, and scalability for the rail industry.
